We have been thru this before, I'm not badmouthing Bass Cat ,its a great boat. But to be considered for the JD powers award you have to pay to be part of the survey. Some companies choose not to participate. Have never had a cat, but it would be extremely difficult to find any better customer service than Legend offers. Go to Bassboat central and read the posts in the Legend forum that might give you some info. (there are also forums for the other brands) JD Powers award is a joke. They are only interested in manufactures paying to be involved in the survey. I have had corvettes that won JD Powers award and participated in the surveys. The survey was sent to me only a couple of months after purchase, it would be interesting if they were sent out a year after ownership. Never had any problems with any of the vehicles but it would be interesting if they sent them out after the new wore off. Its not a bad thing that the award is won by this or that manufacture, it just doesnt mean a whole lot.

This is from one of the catagories that the "bass boats" are judged on. Kinda weird this is used to judge the different makes of boats when it is a totally seperate issue.
Engine: This score is based on customers satisfaction with the boats engine. Specifically, the ease of starting, quietness at cruising speed, reliability, fuel economy, amount of fumes, and smoothness when shifting into gear.
