What size and model are you looking at?

LE or Alpha?
199 or 21?

I don't see many of them down here in East Texas but the one's I've seen are very nice. Seem very well made and are real headturners. Pretty quick too.

Been fishing out of a 05 LE21 for the last two years.

Great fishing platform. Takes rough water very well, storage is laid out very well.

Only real complaint about them is you will get a little spray in moderate to heavy chop.

I have a LE-21 with a 250 XS Optimax and like it a lot, the rough water ride is incredible, and fishing out of it, is even better.

Plus, I dont have many boats infront of me, during take off wink

If you want some more information, send me a PM

They appear to be a well made boat, I looked at them pretty hard about four years ago. I do like their console layout.

According to LegendRick in another post the rod lockers get wet.

According to non-owners in draw tournaments they are wet boats (could be the operator and not the boat)

If you like the design I would recommend looking at a Champion. Much better rough water boat, and a dry ride.

If you are looking for the best combination of performance and ride I would recommend a BassCat.

As an ex Ranger owner I will tell you, after you get your next boat you will have wished you did it earlier.

That is correct, they did, but with some help from other legend owners, I corrected the problem.... soaked it with a hose today and no water got in any compartments

You will not experience the spray problem with the new Alpa series. Also you will find a large number of prievious Champion owners now in Legends. The wet compartment problem was caused by an Aftermarket insert placed inthe boat, The new Alpas have also corrected this problem. After owning 3 legends and either owning or fishing from the rest, I dont believe you will find a better built ,better riding, fishing,or better customer service than Legend(yeah, Judd lets not get into the JD Powers debate!) Take a ride in one and look it over ,you wont believe the attention to detail and quality of this boat. Just my $.02

My brother bought one at Rick Smith's Marine Outlet here in Temple and he loves it. He has a 199 w/225 ProXs, but we test drove and fished out of an LE21, I liked them both. He has never had a problem with water getting into his rod lockers that I am aware of. I do know they take rough water extremely well. I saw a boat a local angler just bought... i think it was the new Alpha in a Gunmetal yellow... it was sharp looking. Almost as good looking as my Bullet. If your interested I would suggest checking Marine Outlet out or giving Rick a call.
