Same rod, Team Daiwa 153HST reel spooled with 12 lb Trilene 100% Fluorocarbon. I have 2: One for weightless T-rigs, the other for wacky rigs.

Don't know, haven't needed it but Southwestern Parts is an authorized service center so I'm not worried about it either.

BTW, Delo's runs the 153HSTA for $145 with free shipping. I bought my last two from them, they're not great on communication after the sale but I got my reels in less than a week.

683CEF or 684CEF Powell rod and a Revo SX/STX or Daiwa HSTA would be my choice.

Save yourself some coin and get a 7" Medium Phoenix Blaze and pair it with a Curado or Citica.

Anywhere really. The rod will be around 170 chronarch mg about 260. So his original $400 plus 30 bucks more should have him covered right?

I'm not saying i don't like the Advantages I have two and they are very nice reels but given a pick between the two.

I have discovered my most expensive rod, reel, line and lure combination($900) is sooooo effective and productive I wouldn't tell anyone one what it is.
I like catching big bass.

You get the picture. It really works. And you could throw a Senko on it if you like.
