Had that happen a lot at Ray Bob a few years back. Just revved my motor up and went in circles and powered to an idle and as soon as the armada of boats started to follow and about to power down i took off WOT. HAHAHAHAHAHA. That was funny to see the expression on those other boats that were following us. They couldnt figure out why we left in a hurry . We were on fish for hours and they knew it but didnt care about encroaching .

I remember the dude at Ray Bob and the other guy that you and I both have issues with. He screwed me over on two different lakes last year....

While we got a few birds still hangin' around I may have to start carryin' crackers wink

Well as for the trollers--that is where a good HEAVY trolling reel, 65lb braid, and cheap HEAVY slab. Lock down the reel, make an underhand pitch behind the trollers and see who wins the tug-o war! Not suggesting this just throwing the idea out there smile

Not to change the subject but, I have waved other boats to move in closer because I was over the spot! I felt bad that we were catching and the other boat wasn't. Just too many fish for just one boat.

But then again, there are others that just don't give a hoot!

Team bone head NOW THAT IS FUNNY! I know that many of us want everyone to catch fish and don't mind sharing as the the right thing right. Some one said you don't own the lake or the fish which is technically correct, but you spend time finding a good spot and a moron ruins the fishing for you and your party (have to find a new place) it SUCKS!!! Cause if the "moron" new the rules of fishing we could all fish in Harmony!!

Fool, that sort of thing is more typical of my experiences - someone else tells me 'the fishing's great, come on closer', or I'm telling someone to come along & fish next to me.

However, I do recall last summer at the dam cut where two older guys had waved me over to share the fishing ... ended up with several boats within easy casting distance of one another all catching big sandbass and a fair number of hybrids and then ... the overpowered pontoon boat came plowing THROUGH us (we're all anchored or using troling motors) and slowed down next to the nice old geezers to ask how the fishing was ... the answer shot back was something like "It was great until you idiots scared the fish away!"

That's the kind of old man I hope I become! smile

In college I fished weekends only, at least for schooling fish. Never could afford the 52" shaft 80lb thrust saltwater trolling motor my boat would need and soon learned to fish without it. A good breeze helps, and you have to take a good guess at where the fish are moving. High sides and flat bottom on my boat made it drift fast. Throw the drift sock when you get close. And you can cast 1.5-2 oz slabs a long way. With a jig tied up the line a few feet and a single hook on the slab for easy fish removal you didn't have to stay on the fish too long to catch your 25.

Now that I have some money I still can't bring myself to spend the $1K a suitable trolling motor would cost me.

Fishing is always good, its the catching that varies.

I really do not mind finding another place.

Ideas of chuncking, lures, trolling tug-of-wars and casing dangerous wakes can lead to criminal charges.

Like I said I really do not care, I will shrug my shoulders and most of the time sit and have me a sammich. I cannot tell you how many times I have been on fish alone with no one to watch or share with me, now that is sad. One thing I can assure you is that for every one time folks have scattered fish. I have had 20 schools all to myself, there has been times I have caught so many fish, I became tired, dropped an anchor and took me a little nap.

I, like F4F will call people over and give them lures if I have to, I really do not like it when people are watching me catch fish and they are not... Bad karma.

Some may call them morons for scattering fish and they probably call us arseho&%s for hogging fish.

I am not defending them it is just a fact of life.

Exactly what is the criminal code for crossing someone elses line when they are trolling? Haven't heard of that one yet and I have watch Law and Order haha!

I made an idiot of myself on this forum a few years back, describing an altercation on the water. After that, I calmed down alot. I only get riled if the safety of my customers is in question.

If I get crowded and the fish are still active, I stay. If they stop (they will feel the pressure at some point)I leave. I'm the one guiding, I should (and do) have a couple of dozen areas to find fish in.

If you yank that person in the water and he or she drowns, I am sure there will be charges brought towards that person, especially since you suggested how to do it online.

I am surprised you would even suggest something like.

I don't think he was "really: wanting to through a line at the rude intruders lines, sarcasm can be funny. And sometimes the day dreams of revenge help lessen the anger of morons without a clue! Tight lines
