Yea but guess what-if Russia had Alaska they would be pumping it dry and we would be buying it. Go in their and screw the middle east. But first talk with your liberal eco friends.

It isn't the Presidents fault that the gas prices are high... supply and demand- you are absolutely correct. However if special interest groups and the EPA are preventing the SUPPLY part of the equation, they are passing legislation through our politicians not to exploit our resources. It will be up tho the "change of regime" to determine who what and where we get our oil from. Gotta vote for who's best- whoever it may be.

Blame big oil-their profits are going hill top. Does not matter if you are a Rep-Dem we all pay and it is to dang high. If my paycheck went up like gas I would get a raise everday.

Wow, (Fishing and Politics) Can we agree on 1 thing. Gas companies should be limited on profit margins. Gas @ 3.00 a gallon $1.57 cents is pure profit. and I'll give you guy's 30 seconds to guess who is the major Exxon/Mobil stock holder. Buy some if you can?

Hey bluewave I was just saying that to my wife if america would stop buying gas for just one day that would send a major message and put a major dent in those pockets,we all know that Bush has been in the oil business for years so his pockets are just getting fatter as the gas prices continue to rise, and we all know Chaney use to own or still has major stock in Halliburton so as long as the war is going on then business is good for him also. And the problem is my paycheck is still the same,I OWE I OWE SO OFF TO WORK I GO lol.

That idea does not work. Everyone would just buy their gas the next day, so that days profits would skyrocket, and gas companies know that. You wouldn't be changing the amount of gas bought at all.

You're right Cheney has options and deferred comp from Halliburton before taking office. The options have grown astronomically but, and this is an important differentation from your comment, he gets nothing from either because he has an irrevocable (he can't renege!) agreement that it goes to charity, U of Wy, Capital Partners for Education, a charity that provides financial aid for low-income students in Washington, DC to attend private and religious schools and Georgetown Univ (Medical School).

I don't care one way or the other, just want the facts to be straight. All of this publicly available for scrutiny.
