Well after finially getting something for the family last year and getting all excited thinking about hitting numerous lakes around the area last year, we come to this year and the sticker shock at the gas pump! Now I know many of you are still willing to pay 3 maybe even 4 dollars a gallon for gas for the boat and truck, but DANG GUM! At that price it will really limit our house hold! More important to gas the vechiles for work than for fun! I hate it I hate it I hate it!
Sorry guys had to vent! really depressing! what used to take only 60 for both now take 100!:( To all the guides, I feel for you!

I'm thinking of selling the gas,I just bought from them, back to them. It went up 6 times in 2 days. Now thats an investment.
Topped my truck off (which was 1/2 EMPTY) and put only 5 gallons in my 50 gallon tank of the boat $75.00. Their reasons for these $'s SUCK.

Be sure to thank Clinton who gave China prefered trade status which exported US jobs to China so that they (the Chinese) can prosper (and probably the Clintons too) and buy more oil which causes the price to go up. Supply and Demand. Many Chinese workers are buying the first car ever in their families life. Was it made in America? Someday when they live like Americans, and we don't, will they have pitty on us? Will they feel guilty about their prosperity like we have been expected to do by our liberal media??

Be glad you don't drive a diesel! I've been paying $3.20-$3.40 all winter long. I don't feel sorry for gas drivers paying $3.00. LOL

Maybe we better stock up at $3.00 - $3.15, so when it hits $4.00 we can still afford to fish... ......................

I totally agree w/ SandSpike.
In addition to that, thanks to our wacko enviromentalists. Cuba can drill. China and Russia can drill. Mars-ians can drill, but the US can't. Also thanks to all the laws and regulations that would require the oil company to produce 30 plus grade of gasoline to comply with certain State regulations. Now there is Winter Grade, Summer Grade...Kindergarden Grade...and all kind of Grades...Enough is enough with the bureaucrats!!!!
By the way, 30% of our oil is from the Middle East. How much of a blame our Liberal Media would have on the "War for Oil" if we import at least 60% from the Middle East?

I am glad all I have is a kayak... but I agree... ENOUGH IS ENOUGH. I wonder if the Government will start a program similar to ease the cost to families. They do it for food, and utilities... why not fuel? I know, let's take some of the illegals running around everywhere using up our healthcare and legal system and put them to work building/running oil rigs and refineries in exchange for citizenship!

I really don't want to sound like a political-type person... However now is the time that outdoorsmen and women need to bring this issue to the forefront and get some ideas from these candidates before they get into office and into the pockets of the oil conglomerates. In my opinion, the gas prices/economy are probably a bigger issue than Iraq- and I've been there recently. Get these debate panels to ask the burning question: "What are you going to do about gas prices?" and watch the promises and ideas flow.
Rock Bottom!
