Had less attention been placed on the boats/speed of this tournament, I'm sure more folks with slightly slower/less expensive boats would be fishing it. I'm still debating on fishing the tourney but I have a few issues. 1) I'm here for a few more weeks and then I go back to California. If I find some good fish I might just try and bring some of that sweet Texas cash back to Cali where it dont spend as well. I can't imagine what that would do to the Bullet owners of Texas. 2) I might feel bad taking a bunch of funds from folks who just wanted to show off and play speed racer. HA!
Yo whats up with the Demo rides? This is going to be fun...
This is an OPEN big bass tournament sponsored by the Local Bullet owners. yes, us bullet guys like our boats, but so does every one else. the demo rides are for non-bullet owners to test ride and be entered into the drawings for our give away stuff. such as a new 10" jack plate, a tro4, etc. lot's of stuff. bullet owners go into the drawing automatically. just like the Legend tournament, etc. kena is right, it's about the BIG BASS, not the fastest boat. but, it is fun to talk about it,huh?

Yeah, I'll poke a little fun but the moment these guys are giving demo rides, if I'm not fishing, I'll be the first in line.

like this is any different than the bass cat owners tournament, or the legends tournament, or the skeeter tournament. Or any of the other "owners" tournament. biggest exception is this is an OPEN tournament, like the legend tournament. p.s. you wanna try a 27p tempest to run 80 with

this is what I think. I will be "FISHING" the lake those days and I hope all run the main lake and show off I will be slow trolling the shorelines looking for bass watching from a distance. I also like when a small or medium wake breaks the shoreline seems it helps the fishing. The wake pushed plankton which in turn pushes bait fish and there my friends are big bass feeding on them. Hope everyone has fun doing what ever it is they want to be doing and are safe at it. I will be fishing on Friday with Jason Hoffman and sat. & Sunday with a friend on my little small 45 mph boat that most likley will not see 35 all day. Also since I am a new baoter I fear I am far more dangerous than soemone experienced doing 80. I will do my best to stay safe also. Hope I get to troll over and pick up a free hat or two as they fly off..

Hope I get to troll over and pick up a free hat or two as they fly off.. These boats don't make wakes. They make bubbles which provide oxygen for the fish. They don't have much boat in the water if/when they run fast. At 100mph they might have a minute or two full throttle before they run out of lake. It will be a safe fun day for sure! Some big fish and some beautiful boats is what I expect of the day! Oh and saying hi to Cameron will be good to!
Stress less, relax more. Go fishing.

You guys are good. They could have used some of you during the writers strike!!! I went 90 mph in a boat once and it was the only time the bridge on my glasses made an indention on the bone on my nose that is right between the eyes. I don't know if I would REALLY want to go 100 mph for "a minute or two". A duration of say 10-15 seconds is enough. Have fun, but be safe.
