It's not just about fast. It's about quality!
Basscat!! your so right man. i have a Basscat that its in perfect shape and its a 2000 and we GPS it at 79.8 with me and my dad in it with all our tackle... its almost scary lol

How long of a basscat and what's pushing it?? my best friend has a Puma with 250XS. running a modified 27p Tempest (mine) at 80.4mph, that was light loaded. The Puma is a great boat. He thought he could run with me, till i got my engine back. He can't anymore..  With a fishing load he can still run 78'ish. I looked at the pad on the Puma, and it's REAL close to the pad on a bullet.

My 07 Cougar w/ Mercury 250 will push 80 but runs steady gps 76
If I could drive it it would break 80.
Saturday 2 guys and full of tackle gps 74 and still had plenty left.
Not a Bullet but gets there fast enoough for me.

Been reading on here about the Bullet owners tourney (and all the other tournaments) coming to the home lake on March 15th, is it for real gonna have some fast bass boats or just gonna be a gathering of 70 mph boats that claim to run over 80? FASTEST SKEETER,CHAMPION, or whatever welcome, no you dont have to run the allisons. Anyone wanna run their rig for real,check out the chat forum for the bullet owners tourney. Giving away cash to any boat that can really run the number. Let's see if any boats even Sign Up to take a shot, JUST FOR FUN BOYS! No need to get mad, just get on it.
