Hey guys, check out the above link - if you know this gentleman (or you ARE this gentleman), give me an email and I'll return your gear.

FYI - Hit Rebecca Creek with Smitty on Saturday from 4-7:30pm, ended up with 6 whites between the two of us (one throw back), and one 13.5" Crappie (Fatty!). The traffic in the river had the water muddied up a bit, and I'm sure the noise didn't help the bite.

Thursday- fished by my lonesome in the afternoon.
Ended up with 15 fish trolling raps around the mouth of the river in about 3.5 hrs.

Saturday fished with Randy & Byron Martin of Luling,Tx.
Ended up with 30 whites up 16 inches and one bass. Had a great time watching them catch their first whites! Most fish coming on traps and #8 shad raps. Trolling the mouth and down to cypress.
Gorgeous day, saw axis, black squirrels, turkeys and all kinds of wildlife.
Alot boats out saturday,alot.

Came away with 10 big females Sunday 14-15 each, rattletraps. went from Crane's Mill to about 3 miles up river.

Found a school of 8-9 inch males. Caught 12 on beetle spin before losing the school.

Also got a 8 lb blue cat on a jugline.

Found a couple good schools on the graph would work them for a bit then move on.
Headed to Nueces Tuesday, should be full blown run down there.

CAUGHT 16 ON MONDAY IN THE RIVER BETWEEN CRANES MILL AND REBECCA CREEK. WENT TO THE RAPIDS AND SIGHT-FISHED A FEW, BUT THEY WERE NOT THERE YET. WATER TEMP GOT TO 65 MID AFTERNOON. TEMPS ARE GOING TO BE LOW THIS WEEK THROUGH MONDAY AND MAY DELAY FULL ON SPAWN. GOING TO BE LOOKING FOR NEXT WARM SPELL TO SEE THE FISH HIT THE RAPIDS.

Thanks for the update, Helo. Congrats on the rig, SteveO.
I had to work today, myself. I thought about hooking the boat up and running for the rest of the afternoon, but I'm too tired from work. Mabye I'll pull an evening trip on Saturday and hope to get lucky with some crappie as well.

Just an FYI, guys. Cliff Hill ("hillbgcntry") will be at BPS (The Rim) this Sunday at 11:30 for about two hours. There is a post about it in the Catfishing section. I'm sure he would be more than happy if some of you locals would run up there to meet him.

Some-one let me know how far up river from rebecca creek are the fish. After speaking to several people comming off the lake on Sunday-some say up river and others say towards the lake. What is the best bait trolling the river for whites and what direction.
