The whites are in the river. I went up yesterday and caught 15, they were probably half female and half male. All around 15-18 inches.
I caught them trolling deep diving lures from the 1st bend to the 2nd bend. I plan on going back this week.
ps wish they had a fish cleaning stand at the park.

I checked with TPWD today, they checked the fish a few weeks ago and the comsumption restriction is still in effect for Striped bass and longnose gar. There was no elevated levels of mercury in largemouth, smallmouth, catish or white bass.

Once again, I'll try putting in at Crane's Mill Park this weekend if I can kick this nagging cough. At least my gear is ready! Steven

I'm going to try to go Thursday or Friday morning if it's warm enough, don't like the cold. If I go I'll let you know how it goes. Look for the little 14' aluminum.
It's good to laugh!

My neighbor and I landed 70+(kept 50) today. We launched at Cranes mill and never entered the river. All caught on shad raps. Lots of BIG fat females.

I'll be there launching from Crane's Mill Saturday or Sunday (depends on whether or not I can kick all this nasty coughing!). Look for the white Fisher with the green trim, as well as the goofy guy driving it with a red catfish cap. That would be me! Steven
