I got a dual console, mainly because I have a 5 year old, and when he gets tired, he sleeps under the second console. If he was older (teenage) I probably would have gotten a single console to have the extra room. C'MON STEVE, TOUGHEN THAT KID UP NOW OR YOU'LL BE SORRY, LOL,

IF YOU HAVE AN 18.5 OR SMALLER A SECOND SEEMS TO GET IN THE WAY BUT WITH THE LARGER BOATS NOT SO MUCH. HECK I HAVE A 22 SO I HAVE PLENTY OF ROOM WITH DUAL, LOL. I GUESS IT IS ALL IN YOUR PREFERENCE.

Both! My Allison stretches almost all the way across. Other than the fish and ski boats with the high full windshields I have the best wind and wave protection of any. I have always run single but I like boats under 20 foot. If I had a 21 I might opt for a dual.

I perfer a single console just for the room..... I usually fish by my self and usually less than a 20 foot boat or less..... i figure let my partner tough out the conditions........ Although i fished out of a Legend dual console and it wasnt to bad though.

I vote duel for 21+ and single for 19 and less. I've had them both ways and a duel on a 18 is too tight.

Get a Center Console and forget about it. Plenty of room to get around both sides.
At least my boat and truck are paid for, woo hoo!

When your flying down the water and your dodging ducks a console does offer some protection for your partner....Just a thought.

Single for Me. Just too crowded in a Dual for Me. Feels like your always having to dodge one another. If just Clowning around on the Lakes, prolly a Dual for Sweetie. Im sure She likes to get behind the Glass when your ripping across there at 70..

Single, i wont even look at a boat if it has dual. Single is just so much easier to get around in even in a 21' boat. If someone wont go because you dont have a dual then they are probably pretty fair weather to begin with. When i get ready to sell this boat a 2nd console can be added, its much harder to take one out because of the glass work that would have to be done due to the adhesive.
If your fightin a 9lber on 8lb test that is headed for the rear of the boat, trust me the last thing you need to worry about is getting between 2 consoles and reaching out over one of them.

Dodging the 2nd console, what are you guys doing, running laps around the deck?

When I bought my boat, it was specified to me that it would be dual or there would be no boat. I'm glad I did since I enjoy having my wife with me.
If people focused on important issues, there would be a shortage of fishing poles. My son-in-law proudly serves
