I was invited on this trip but I've been trying to fight a cold for a couple of days. I waited until the last minute (5:15am) to make my decision! I woke up at 10:00am to this picture on my cellphone!! Sure wished I had said "YES" instead of "NO" at 5:15am!!

Good going guys and maybe we can get back up there again really soon!!

Good Fishing To Ya,
Ruben

It was hard enough fighting the cold, wind, sleet and snow and if you would have went being sick, it would have been miserable. Don't worry Ruben, this was just the beginning of things to come. We'll get back up there sooner than later thumb

SOUNDS LIKE JD IS ADDING TO THE FUTURE OF FISHING. I THINK THAT IS GREAT, THERE IS NOTHING MORE FUN THAN SEEING A YOUNG FISHERMAN CATCHING FISH. IN FACT THERE IS NOTHING MORE FUN THAN AN OLD FISHERMAN CATCHING A FISH, IT NEVER GETS OLD. GREAT JOB GUYS.

Good fish and cool pic with the big flakes swirling all around you!

Rudy, could not agree more. I have a few customers that will brave the cold, but not many. And when people ask me when is the best time to book a trip I tell them late November on and they look at me like I am crazy laugh laugh

Jv & Nitro .. you guys are welcome.. not very many loonies out in the snow storm but it sure was worth it....Im glad you guys hung in there and got some good fish !! we hammered them that day as well. Funny how you dont even know its so dang cold when your catching fish so fast.. aint it great smile

Todd and Champion... what you saw was like fuzzy said.. A middle school in carrolton brings their "outdoor adventure " class up to fish with me once or twice a year...I take out 8 kids at a time and usually do about 30-40 kids total...The boat you saw chasing me around with the camera was their teacher "fishingwithkids" Dan Mannering...And before you start nominating me for any kind of sainthood keep in mind all I did was take a bunch of kids fishing.. the real hero in this story is their teacher "fishing with kids"

Ill post a full report on another thread so I dont highjack Varners anymore than I already have smile

It's weird about Texoma and nasty weather, both times I've been there with Britton and the weather was nasty, the fishing was great.

JD,
It still takes a great guide to make it happen.....those kids will remeber you and some will want to be like you...Teens are so impressional at their age and you have made a good one on them...I would rather take kids fishing any day of the week...they seem to soak it all in and enjoy everything...from the boat ride out to the spot ....learning to read the fish finder all the way to cleaning the fish...some times cleaning the fish with kids can be as fun or even better than fishing...Yes the teacher also deserves some props but dont cut yourslef short ...your a teacher too...Great Job.!
