I've caught Northerns before, but holy cow that is unbelievable!! Sucks to be the 36"er. It got caught and eaten in one swoop.

I've seen that last picture before, but that is a BEAUTIFUL Northern! I agree Starless...I've seen that last pic before too. No doubt the fish in the first pic is a monster, but the story may be...shall we say...streeeetched a little bit.

For it to be an official record, wouldn't the fish have to be hooked (or is that only tourneys)?
