Not enough info. Fishing from a boat, wading a river, wading the coast, beach, walking a bank... each of these could necessitate different footwear. thats why Tech5 amphibians for the win, covers all four on your list +1... do the math!

Not enough info. Fishing from a boat, wading a river, wading the coast, beach, walking a bank... each of these could necessitate different footwear. If I'm in the boat, I try to not get wet. I usually wear slip ons and short socks or Sperry's. If I'm slinging a cast net, then it's wading shoes. But I take them off once back in the boat. On the beach, it's something I don't care about. Some cheap tennis shoes or some wading shoes. Whatever it is won't last, so I don't really care as long as I don't get hot spots. Sometimes, I'll wear tennis shoes with socks just to keep the abrasion down. However, as I get older, I'm thinking about moving to waders for the surf. My wife wears waders, and I like that she's all nice and dry when she gets in the truck. It's like she wasn't even bashed by the waves. Me, I'm all wet and sandy and wore out. Then, I'm rinsing off with fresh water and sitting on a towel for the drive home. If I'm at a lake, I usually wear Sperry's. No size fits all for me I guess.

Columbia deck shoes for boat fishing. Chaco sandals for kayak fishing. US Diver fins for fishing from the Hobie Float Cat.

Trying Olukai this year, if deals can be had. Just ordered a pair of Olukai. This will be my third pair. Well worth the price

ON, most comfy shoe I have ever worn, they also make waterproof shoes. 2 weeks ago I may have agreed with you. But I just got my first pair of Brooks and they feel like a hug for my feet. And not just any hug, a big, double armed, cute-chick-full-frontal hug. I developed plantar fasciitis when I went to Brooks. ASICS much of the time but becoming quite a fan of the Sketchers hands free slip-ons.
Advice? Wise men don't need it. Fools won't heed it !

What’s wrong with some old sneakers? Cause you won’t look like a legit pro just fishing in normal shoes…this is all I can come up with as I use whatever tennis shoes I have worn to get to the lake and they work just fine.
