Nice place ! I have to ask, why you decided you did not want lake front ? Honestly just the price. It’s about double the price for a comparable home from what we found. Also don’t know if it’s just internet folklore, but I always read about waterfront homeowners having so much extra maintenance. They’re also all floating docks on this lake so I’m not too sure I like those types of lifts. Nearly none of the waterfront homes have garages either

A lot of extra maintenance is the truth on living on the water.
Property taxes are higher too.

You probably got more house for less. Is that extra garage for a boat? Haven’t decided. I think I’m going to use the double for boat & truck and have my wife use the other. You made a great decision opting for the non waterfront home IMO. I’ve had both and much prefer the water view home I have now as opposed to waterfront home I had. A lot less maintenance and hassle.

Congrats. We will move easter weekend into our retirement home in Gainesville.
Moving from Cedar Hill near Joe Pool where there are no fish.
Moving 25 miles from Lake Texoma and 25 miles from Ray Roberts.
Can hardly wait.
I retire April 30. Congratulations

Nice looking abode! Lake Lanier. Unfortunately, my job didn’t lead me back home to Texas but this’ll do. My wife was jogging for a promotion that would have relocated us there. She got the promotion but its here so stuck in Angelo for at least 2 more years.
