Dogwoods are in bloom in East Texas so the fish must be biting. Nice mess of fish

I am a believer... was fishing spillway behind Palestine last week... folks all around not catching.. grandpa and 3 kids were not having any luck and two smallest kids were no longer interested in fishing.. they were in my spot... lines all stuck in rocks, rods unattended... they were just chunking rocks at that point.. grandpa breaks their lines and moves them further down the bank... I make my way to where they had just left and catch three in about 5 minutes. Great post. I always try to help out young people too. Especially during the white bass run. The excitement they get just to reel in a white bass on a fly rod or just learning to roll cast is very rewarding. I could sell a truck load of fly rods every year during the run

Anyone catching hybrids in the River ? I used to fish that spot back when I cared about catching hybrids. They will tear up a redfin crawled across the surface , early and late. Are the mosquitoes out yet ?  MO
