The heat has kept us at home. We went out a few times last week and the wind was 5- nothing. Not really complaining cause I know it's summer in TX, but man we were melting down out there. We had three guys on the boat and none of us wanted to jump in cause it looks like the entire lake is full of grass clippings..... Looks like we are heading out ther ein the a.m.

went out yesterday for a few hours after work. Sporadic surface action close to Tower Bay about 7:30pm. A few good sized ones with a bunch of dinks mixed in. It was HOT!!!!!! No breeze at all.

The fishing has been as HOT as the weather. Not really chasing sandies but they haven't been hard to catch if that's what you want. Slowest trip over the past two weeks has been 9 legal hybrids. Most are in that 4-6 lb range right now. I'm going this afternoon. Been hydrating all day. It's funny how when you start catching a few, it's not nearly as hot....

Thats true, we starting catching some good sized hybrids (5+)last week and all of the sudden it wasnt all that hot out!

Would you folks be kind enough to let us know where the hybrids are/were and what you were using? I haven't been on the lake in my boat since 4/14 or 4/21. Can you get a BassTracker under I35?

Yes you can now get a Tracker under the I35 bridge. Hybrids seem to be found all over normal spots,but lure presentation and color can be a pain to figure out. Prolly best way is to troll to find them and then mark the spot and start casting.

Thanks; I often troll with glass shad rap and they seem to work well. Sometimes, small Kastmasters.

HAD A FRIEND WHO WAS OUT THERE THIS MORNING. HE LIMITED OUT ON HYBRIDS AND ALSO ON SANDIES, HE STATES HE HAD A 90 GAL IGLOO THAT HE COULD NOT GET THE LID TO CLOSE BECAUSE IT WAS SO FULL OF FISH. OH YEAH, THERE WERE 4 OF THEM FISHING.
