If it happens to you, they say to contact Mercury with the batch/sku number. It’s pathetic that a person has to pay close to $60 bucks per gallon and deal with that.

While I had the remote out I pulled the cap and examined the inside of the tank. There was a little (1/16th - 1/8th inch) dfi oil colored slime on the bottom of the tank that I cleaned out with a paper towel. Nothing like what you guys are talking about and I've run nothing but mercury DFI oil in it for 19 years.... Honora Primum Vel Nullum Omnin Honorem
