They already wasted their fourth on the Panthers' Mingo who couldn't start for them. The year before Jerry threw away his fourth on Lance....he was Dallas' third string qb last year and is now a free agent.
Jerry is a certified idiot GM. He did the least in free agency of all 32 teams last year, signed Zeke who was washed several years ago and gave Dak the richest contract in the NFL. I could go on and on....we all could after 30 years of winning nothing important.
There are holes all over the roster and the last two draft classes have been poor to terrible so far. The new coach has a tough hill to climb, especially considering Philly and Jayden Daniels are in their division.

Just saw a report that Steve Jones will make finding another quarterback in the upcoming draft. They cited the many injuries that Dak has suffered for the need for another potential starter. They are a couple of seasons too late.. Highly unlikely they use a very high pick, maybe a 5, 6 , or 7th, or undrafted free agnent, they should take a shot at one every couple of years, you never know what you may find. That’s what they should do, work that #3 QB spot for prospects, I think we have seen enough of Lance.

I was washing my hands in the restroom this morning and I swear to God I smelled a 2025 Cowboys Super Bowl campaign... It must have been your imagination. Way too early for that, we need to win at least 2 games in a row, then you will start to smell it.

They'll grab the Alabama Qb in the first round... Dak's brother by a different mother... Dan

As lond as we have Jerry does it really matter ? We can only hope one day there is enough talent on this team with players and coaches to overcome the Jerry handicap.

I believe if they ever get to the point where they feel like they are true contenders they will go for it much like Philly did, if I had to guess the soonest it would be is the second year of this new coaching staff for whatever that is worth. If you go for it and do not win a championship the consequences are much harder to swallow.

With the draft picks they have what Qb do they think they will get that would be worth a damn? Yeah them paying a $60M QB to keep them out of good draft picks was a lose-lose. I do think Will Howard will at least be a good NFL backup and is going 3rd-5th rounds in most mocks. I think there is significant upside potential there. But there's no good reason to waste a top pick this year when there aren't any good QBs available, you have limited talent at OL and DEF around him, and you have Dak under contract for several more years and his contract makes building a strong full roster next to impossible.

The Eagles won the Super Bowl and all anyone has talked about is the Cowboys. We haven’t won a Super Bowl in almost 30 years and all anyone ever talks about is the Dallas Cowboys. Everyone wants to watch the Cowboys, everyone wants to be a Cowboy. We are the face of sports.
