 Cowboys looking to draft a quarterback

Just saw a report that Steve Jones will make finding another quarterback in the upcoming draft. They cited the many injuries that Dak has suffered for the need for another potential starter. They are a couple of seasons too late..

They are a couple of seasons too late.. Highly unlikely they use a very high pick, maybe a 5, 6 , or 7th, or undrafted free agnent, they should take a shot at one every couple of years, you never know what you may find.

It looks like pretty slim pickings in this years quarterback class. Of course, the Cowboys would pick this year to consider drafting one.

They also need some help at linebacker.
They also need some help at running back.
They also need some help in the secondary.
They also need some help with TE's and receivers.

3 years too late. Even last year would have been infinitely better than the ridiculous Dak contract and drafting one from this class. Honestly they could have moved up last year, got one of the 5 or 6 really good QBs, not signed Dak, and be opening up this year with a young QB, lots of talent from all their FA signings, and lots of new possibilities.
You can't take a new QB now. There really aren't any good QBs in this draft at all. And even if you did take one, he's going to be surrounded with marginal talent on offense and defense.
The primary reason young QBs fail in the NFL is the teams around them. Look consistently at top 10 picks and the guys that go to complete [censored] teams always fail. Takes some talent around to win in the regular season.
Will Howard is about the only guy I'm seeing that I think is worth a pick higher than he's projected to go at this point. But you have Dak signed for 3 or 4 more years. A QB at this point doesn't even make sense. You can't play him with a $60M guy on the bench, and you can't trade him because we're the only idiots who think he is worth anything near that.
