Wild West in Houston in October of 1996. She and her friend were in our spot my friends and I always stood in. Started chatting with her and the next thing you know it is 28 years later. We will be married 28 years in March.

In the summers I worked in a wet environment. Caught a nasty itchy rash on my butt. The college infirmary was free, so I went there. The cutest redhead ever was at the front desk. Took me a couple of months (her date book was full) to get a date. First kiss was in her carport, next to her Dad’s green Oldsmobile. In March it’ll be 57 years.

My roommate, Ray, knew I had my eye on two cute girls, both red hair. One had an ample chest and the other didn’t. After my first date, with the gal I married, Ray asked if it was the big chested one or the flat chested one, and I didn’t know because I was so focused on her that I hadn’t looked. That’s when I knew this was something big. And, just FYI, it was the flat chested one.

A wonderful wife and life.

High school band trip to Colorado Springs, 1985. Bus stopped for lunch. A buddy and I were running late for the Greyhound. Her class was having a car wash to raise money to go to NYC for the Statue of Liberty parade. We talked for a minute, I gave her her first kiss, she gave me her number. The rest is a loooong looooooong story.

12 years ago this month we both worked at the same place. She flirted with me for almost 2 months. Wasn't sure if she was being a tease or lost a bad bet. Asked me to have a beer after work one day then she came over my house afterwards and never left.

I was in the grocery business from 1975 until 2006 and knew a lot of people who met their spouses there. I just got back from my deer lease and stopped by and visited with a friend of mine. Him and his wife both worked at the same Winn Dixie in San Angelo in the late 80`s when the married.

We actually went to high school together but ran in different circles but we knew of each other. 14 years ago after my 2nd divorce, I went to a friends birthday party and she was there, but with another guy. We talked a little at the party. I heard a couple of weeks later that she broke up with that guy and hit her up on Facebook and got her number, The rest is history.
