100% get that for sure. Mine is A+ in that department.

But because I travel a lot, had some opportunities to experience some truly outstanding dinners in some outstanding places. Not one of them gave me a green bean.

I definitely prefer to eat at home but sometimes I just get lazy. I travel the world and always like to try the “local” stuff. I’ve had excellent Kobe steaks in Japan and some great ones in France but honestly the best steak I can remember was Ox steak in Spain…the pitchers of sangria could’ve influenced that though

I could have hooked you up in the old days. I called them diet food. Daddy would keep a bowl full in the ice box after we would work cattle when I was young. I would open up the ice box and loose my appetite when I saw that bowl full of them.

Never tried them and don’t ever care to. You might say it scarred me as a youngster.

as i've said in other posts, my uncle was a full-fledged cowboy; he would bring Daddy 5-gal bukits full of nuts; Daddy would freeze them in the old wax milk cartons; nut day, he'd take out a carton, let it thaw awhile, then we'd slice the pure-meat nut out of the casing; deep fry'm and yummy yummy; now these were yearly calves, not full grown bulls; i ate some at the Big Texan that were OLD bulls; like eatin' rubber

Boil up some garden fresh green beans, new red 'taters, a good onion, and you're $hitin' in tall cotton.

Te'Jun is in Robinson south of Waco. David Beards has a Catfish King in Waco that is OK. I like going to Te'Jun and getting an order of peel and eat shrimp, save the tails and shells to feed the catfish off their deck. It's more fun if there are kids around, they love it.

Self sustained meal....No doubt Venison back straps,foraged mushrooms and a garden salad.
Restaurant setting...I really love the variety of sushi

Brisket tacos gets my vote.
