Chicken fried steak, mashed potatoes and cream gravy with a good salad or green beans and iced tea. Would be my last meal on death row. 👍🏻

It is certainly an experience but nothing earth shattering. It is where I learned that folks from the Deep South love tamales for appetizers. Also, Greenville is a s@$# hole. I have been there more than once with newbies that didn’t want to leave the car in that hood. It looks like a third world country. greenville has really gone downhill and lost a lot population since I lived there….last time I stopped at Does, they had off duty police officer outside escorting people to and from their cars and watching their parked cars…

I'm truly amazed at the love for green beans. They're good, but hardly great. What about chicken fried steaks? WTF? Is what some kind of Texas bbq?

Best meals were original 155 David Beards. Next Fisherman's Market pre covid. Haven't been since. I like the one in Waco and has to be Canjun variety

Fried grouper po' boy with slaw, sweet potato fries, and a cold beer at Half Raw Oyster Bar, Key West. But of course I'd been on a boat eating bologna and cheese sandwiches for a week.

lived there 14 years plus duck hunted and fished in the area many years since and you're the first person I ever heard of that didn't say Doe's eat place was either the best or one of the best steaks they ever had.... You ever hear a person say that they went out to eat and the meal was the "best Ever"??? Some people want you to think that they have experienced something that you hav'nt so they exagerate the experience. Some people just don't give a sh!+ about what others think of them. These people give the best reviews.

If your wife cooks as good as mine does, there isnt a need to go out much. Hard to find a place that can produce a meal better than she does.
