That is because the laws are not enforced on immigration in USA.

Even in Texas you will never see a police officer asking about immigration status.

Go to Japan or most any other country and police will arrest if you are in the country illegally, or overstayed a visa, or trying to work on tourist visa.

I have been to a number of other countries. You better be ready to show your Passport and VISA in many of them. You carry it with you when you are out. You also better be within the term of your VISA both in duration and purpose. Working on a tourist VISA will not go well.They don’t play.

In the US they won’t ask about legal status even when they should question it.

Being illegal only becomes a problem for them when laws are enforced which they increasingly over the last 4 years have not been. That’s going to change some on Jan 20.

Zero should be the only acceptable number of illegals…working or not.

One of the things we used to do, until the DAs made us quit, is put a hold on every vehicle with an unlicensed driver that we impounded. When the registered owner came to pick it up we would issue them a citation. That made a lot of people quit lending their vehicles out to their unlicensed, undocumented, often intoxicated friends / relatives. And because those unlicensed, undocumented friends / relatives (whose names were never what they told you) were not covered by the vehicle's insurance, by virtue of being unlicensed, anyone they hit was SOL. Back in the day we could arrest those people if they didn't have a valid ID, but that got cut off by the attorneys.

So now, if you get hit by an unlicensed operator with no valid ID, they receive a citation in the bogus name they gave. They never show up at court, the warrants are issued for people who don't exist, and the owner of the vehicle is no longer penalized for allowing that person to drive it. Thanks, libtards.
