I've noticed QT has trained their employees to count change back the correct way they give you the change first then the bills counting back up to the total you gave them.

I think I was in line behind some of you. Instead of a 2 second transaction by using a card, I get to wait for you to dig through your bulging billfold to pull out your bills than pull out your coin purse and watch you count out the exact amount of change.

Keep up the good work on educating the cashier workers of change counting. At least they are employed.

It's not just change that give these yutes problems. We were getting several different meats and cheese sliced at the deli at a local store. My wife asked for 3/4 pound of several of them and the girl waiting on us had to ask another employee what 3/4 of a pound was. The other employee told her .75 is what to look for on the scale. Then she proceeded to slice .85 and asked us if that was more or less than what we wanted.
I told her it was over, but close enough for us.

shoulda just waited on the change he was gonna give you from the $20 and then take the 4 ones, add your $1, and get him to give you a five dollar bill back. It woulda been the kind thing for the young pimple popper. He probably had to take a break after you left and pop another anxiety pill.

Many of the concession areas at the Classic in Knoxville woukd not take cash. They had signs pisted everywhere. I also know REI does not like a customer paying in cash.

All he had to do was punch $21 into his cash register. It would have told him to give me $5.59 in change. Come on, kid. Do it. Humor me.

When I worked in the food industry, I was a whiz at making change. People used to bring up crazy amounts so they could get a solid bill back. It would throw others off, where I would see what they were doing. I also always counted the change up when handing it back to them, so I knew I was giving them proper change back and no questions were needed.

Now, I bet I would stumble if someone asked me make change for a dollar.

Good grief! How did she pass 7th grade math? Crazy.

Not this again.

https://www.federalreserve.gov/faqs/currency_12772.htm

A simple purchase transaction does not create a DEBT. A debt is when you owe money to someone who has extended you credit, such as when you pay a mortgage or your car loan or your credit card.

Your bank must accept cash if you want to pay your mortgage payment that way. A store does NOT have to accept cash for anything. The Texas Rangers stadium, Globe Life Field, has been completely cashless since it opened. You can't buy a hot dog with cash - just one example.

Back in ancient times when I was in my 20's I did not have a credit card. Paid in cash or wrote a check. First card I ever got was an American Express provided by the company I worked for at the time, but it was only to be used for business expenses. I was around 30 when I got my first card. Credit cards make it too easy to spend money, they certainly provide fuel for our consumer based economy but also create debt problems for individuals.

I asked a girl at the deli for 11 slices of ham, She said I'm sorry we sell it by the lb. I said ok slice it weigh it and I will pay for it. I asked her if she knew why I wanted 11 slices and she said no. There is 22 pieces of bread in sandwich loaf not counting the heels. Thats 11 sandwiches. Just to mess with her. yes
