That pic is most of what I need. Press is mounted to a stand made out of an old disc plow as the base. Can set it wherever I need it, including the range.
In this pick I was working thru load development on Hodgdon 335 and IMR 4895 powder.
I have a stationary set up in the garage as well.
It's only a good cast if you catch a fish...

You get so much more, "feel" with a single stage. Precision is another word for slow. I have a Hornady progressive and an old single stage, Texan press.
The money adds up with all the small tools and dies. Deburring tools to boxes of dies. Then the guys melting lead and making their own bullets. Especially for 9mm, 38 Special, 44 short and 44 mag.

You get so much more, "feel" with a single stage. Precision is another word for slow. I have a Hornady progressive and an old single stage, Texan press.
The money adds up with all the small tools and dies. Deburring tools to boxes of dies. Then the guys melting lead and making their own bullets. Especially for 9mm, 38 Special, 44 short and 44 mag. My BIL tried making me some lead bullets for my .270. They can't handle the velocity. Works great in my 9 and .380.

Again, you see set ups like this pop up at estate sales, garage sales, and online all the time for half what this kit costs. Good luck!

I started with a hand me down RCBS kit like this one in 7th grade, and I still load with the same equipment now. I'm 48 years old.
It's only a good cast if you catch a fish...

Too fast. Rifle round in 30-30 and stuff like 45-70. That's where you can do it. Other then that, it's mostly handgun bullets.
