They are predicting landfall in the Tampa Bay area. They have a population of over 5 million. This could be a bad storm.

Sounds like it’s going to be awful for Tampa. At least Florida has a competent disaster response governor at the helm.

Advice? Wise men don't need it. Fools won't heed it.

Correct. Check with those folks in Ga., Western N.C., and East Tenn. about blessings and curses.

We need a TD to go all the way up through the Rio Grande Valley. It would help fill the lakes and slow down the border crossings.

Medina lake 3% full or 97% empty.
Canyon lake 50% full.
Lake Corpus Christi 34% full or 66% empty.
Choke 18% full, 82% empty.
Falcon 13% full, 87% empty.

Lots of cities rely on these lakes and it’s going to take a massive storm to make a difference.

That's living in hurricane country. You learn to dread the potential disaster from June until October. I'm always happy to see those high pressure systems hanging out around the Panhandle during that period.
