I'd like to hear the views opinion of this If your talking the View TV show than I’m probably a horrible dad teaching my daughter to shoot a pistol and be able to defend herself. The View can respectfully kiss my asss

I taught my youngest girl at 5 and her sister at 12.
22lr for the youngest. Marlin youth model bolt action. Big red dot sight. Her sister got a bolt action in 17HMR. Scope. Ear muffs and bipods all around.
Put both on a small berm. Laid down some nice towels to put their elbows on. 25yards to target. Paper target, cans on the ground, and one of their stuffed animals, they didn't like, hung from a string. Shoot whatever, you girls want.
Most of my job was refilling the piles of rounds they went through.
She’s a good target shooter but I want to try to put her in more pressure situations. Her uncle Mike is a combat Veteran and BP agent he’s gonna put her through the ringer Does she have her weapon yet? The compact stuff. S&W shield, Glock 43... She has S&M 38 snub hammerless. It’s fool proof. Just pull the trigger. Not the most accurate but at close range it will get the job done

I carry one of those. S&W 642 Airweight. It'll work inside 8 yards. Excellent defensive choice.

The Dad every girl needs...  Same pistol I wore on my ankle the 40 years I was a police officer. Now that I'm retired, same pistol I wear on my ankle today....

 My daughter has stayed at various rodeo grounds from WY to TX this year and Im always concerned. Does your daughter have the "horse hotel"? app? It has private places all around the country to stay at overnight

1 of the great things to teach those entrusted to you to raise. The 2nd most important thing. Teaching them to follow the Lion of Judah is most important.
