He received, as did all the players, a message from tournament operations/PGA of America notifying them of the situation as well as the procedure to avoid the traffic jam and enter the property. I'd be shocked if he in ANY way violated this procedure.

I'd also be shocked if this is anything more than an overzealous cop, in the dark/early am, trying to coordinate the chaos of a normal early am at a major, with the tragic death of a pedestrian, along with the absolute necessity of coordinating with officials the continued operation of the event.

Meanwhile, Scotty was simply trying to enter the property for another day at the office, etc etc etc.

I have been notified by a pretty reliable source as to what took place and, if true, this is a big misunderstanding and the police are at fault 100%.... as much as you can be at fault in such a chaotic situation.

Hopefully he will play a round with everyone involved and leave it at that. Unless he is running for office, then they will make up fake charges. Haha

Hopefully Louisville has a DA, a mayor, and a police chief with some common sense and they're all coordinating with each other, the PGA of America, and Scheffler's legal counsel so as to resolve this mess asap. Otherwise it's a big black eye on all involved and a huge distraction from the event.

Not going to go there as I don't know if it's true.... 2nd/3rd/4th hand locker room/caddy info will most probably vary from what occurred to some degree. Obviously they're chattering at warp speed...

Little blurb on it says officer was dragged down to ground by his car and had to be hospitalized. Sounds like BS but who knows.
