Drove down the other day and the gate to the 1396 boat ramp was open. Drove in and they were putting a floating walkway together. Said they had already put one at the ramp on 897. Also said when it does open the ramp at Carson would not be open at the same time as the other two cause it is way shallow on that side of lake. So that means just 100 parking spots when it does open. that is gonna be the interesting part, what does # 101 do when they can't park? I am already seeing more boat traffic headed toward crockett/coffee mill.

I can’t wait to see all the fuss when everyone starts really watering their yards in North Texas this next month and it draws down another 2 or 3 feet. Then it delays again. I think you guys forget this lake was built for North Texas water supply. Don’t think us fisherman are the first things on their mind. Will allowing boats on the water now keep them from being able to pump next month?

Someone could make a fortune with a private parking lot and shuttle service.

It's amazing the number of guides for that lake already.

Up a little @ 532.36 this morning. Rain tonight and possibly heavy unless they have changed it since last night. Maybe it will be at or above pool stage by Wednesday or Thursday. I drove very near to it yesterday and wanted to go by and see it, but we were headed for the NASCAR race and didn't have time. When we came back through it was about 10:00 pm.

Great idea that I may pass along to my cousin that bought a few acres last year within a mile of the lake. She plans to build a home there in the near future.
