It is getting to be widespread. I wonder what the Delta is though between just guys who have it and then those guys who really understand how to use it?

I have to bet a lot of guys who have it and maybe don't really benefit from it much.

It is widespread technology pretty quickly. About a third of The kayaks I see now even have it!!

I have it and use it, although to be honest I do feel a little dirty when I am getting blanked and feel like I have to solely rely on it to get bit.

I don't think many of us regular type guys are throwing to many bass and catching them. I burn the crappie with it. I find areas with Bait and fish, I find brush piles quickly. The art of finding bass, throwing to them and catching them is a work in progress. Drum tend to be what I catch trying to throw to blobs.

I don't have it on my boat and probably won't. Now if I was fishing for a living I would definitely have it and work on being as being as proficient as possible. I'm just fishing anymore to enjoy getting to ride in the boat and feel the sun on my face, catching fish is a bonus. I don’t feel sorry for the pros that whine about it. Ya either get on board or get down the road. It has undoubtedly changed the game but so did rubber worms and the trolling motors.

I love how Randy Howell said he plans on becoming the best over 50 angler with FFS. Rather than complaining he wants to become the best at it.

Bass fishing has always been the same. If you have the money to keep up you can win.

Skill without money is pretty worthless. If you can afford FFS, you can hire a guide to set it up and teach you how to use it.

Put me in the category of those that have it, but haven't come close to mastering it yet. It is on the used boat I bought, but it wasn't the primary reason I bought the boat. I've used side imaging for several years now, and I love that technology. If I ever get decent at using the FFS for sac-a-lait, I'd darn sure use it more often.

I think if he plans to not be mowing grass or driving a truck in 5 years his time would be better spent at some lake practicing throwing at blobs on screen then making that sad sack video

He made probably 1 good point, there will end up being limits out on the number of transducers and screens, but other than that it’s all hogwash, it ain’t going anywhere.

Still have mine and working lowrance x 45 with temp on front and x 85 on console. This year going to upgrade to color.
