Where was this announced?

On their website. It is weird though when you google Possum Kingdom golden algae it will pop up and start the story but it then goes to past outbreaks when you hit TPWD

It was going on 6 weeks ago at least. You wouldn't actually see many dead fish, between the pelicans and gulls they cleaned up alot. I hope many of the fish were able to get out of it. I spent several hours one day scoping docks then I side scanned a large area and saw basically zero life

Has anyone been out in there in the last few days? I have reservations at the State Park in a week and if it is awful I would like to cancel my plans and figure out a plan B. Thanks in advance.

saw the day one results for a BASS federation yesterday. Looked pretty tough with only 3 limits caught and several zeroes.
Big fish was an 11.25

We had a team meeting event today. Took 27lbs to win and the big bass was 10.41
Lots of 10 lb to 14 lb stringers though. It was tough but the fish all looked healthy and I didn’t see a dead fish anywhere.

A few hundred yards? That is a bald face lie and you no it!!!! It was 50 foot if that,I could have thrown a lure in their boat easy. I probably should have and jerked him out of the boat!!

It didn't help the motels and eating places in Breckenridge either. That lake was bringing in a lot of $ to that town and now there is not nearly as much .

I didn't measure, I was saying where we were sitting. we were 1 point over and we drove right past both of you going to the flat west of you with the ridges and trees. Yall were close but not any closer than you see people at times. Say whatever you want. You want to protect a spot you put your nose to the spot. Not sit past it like your are fishing the other way. I'm guessing but I think you had caught a few fish in the area. He probably knew exactly the sweet spot on that little deal and had it down to a specific cast. You should have thanked him for the lesson and showing you how to fish the spot in the future. But instead you smoked the hole on the internet. Brilliant sir just brilliant. And I doubt anything you have said or done has changed a single thing.

I think a lot of it has to do with the times we fish too, didn't used to think that way until recently. I've played this game for nearly five decades and had never done the solunar table thing. About a month ago we had some really strong peaks mid day ahead of a cold front rolling in so I decided to give it a go. I showed up at one of my favorite fishing holes on an area lake just to test this out and by golly it works. I caught or hooked probably over a dozen fish in about a 30 minute period. The only draw back was most of the bites were slap bites and about half of them would pull off at the boat. The spot I was fishing I can usually pull up on and get a couple of fish in the boat pretty quick but no more than that. Lure selection was in play as well. I was throwing a red 1.5 KVD squarebill and had a good fish break my line. I tied on a SK Red Eye Shad thinking the color is what they wanted and threw it for 10 to 15 minutes and never got another bite. There was a Sexy Shad 1.5 in my tackle so I tied that on and picked up right where I left off when I was throwing the red one. I think the action and the depth is what they were focusing on.
