I try to buy bread that is not made with enriched flour. It is difficult to find white bread that way. Brioche or potato bread is better than white. Also a fan of sour dough.
I like the thick slices if I am not making a sandwich. Toast, french toast, SOS, open top sloppy joe... all are better with the thick slices, but it gets too gummy with a sandwich.

You could smell it going down 30 in Ft Worth yes. so good. love texas toast. makes the best patty melt.

Pane Turano, which can be obtained at the Aldi. Good for sandwiches but awesome for toast for breakfast.

Mrs Bairds is still the best, but for some reason it’s not near as good as it once was. With a SW wind I can smell the Bimbo bakery. I only eat white bread for turkey sandwiches. Other then that I only use bread for toast and then it is Artesano wheat. I think wheat bread has a longer shelf life then white.

HEB bakery for scratch made. I have been getting this. You can get a white loaf bread that is good for sandwiches. Also doesn't have a bunch of extra junk in it.

I prefer to call it the Privileged Bread. That way everyone will know it`s white.
