I'm never leaving Texas.

Las Vegas is a trip. A vacation. It's not something you wanna live everyday.

I'd personally go mad.

I concur. The Mob Museum is a hidden jewel in Vegas.

Whatever you do
Don’t get sick there.
Three weeks ago was there for a show
Covid round 3
Being sick in Mexico was far less painful.

The Venetian was amazing to look at (in and outside) and Fremont is the schizz. Although, it wasn’t as good as it used to be, they tamed it too much.

Glad we came. It's been fun. Once is enough for me though.

It used to be a fun place to go and gamble

Food was dirt cheap, you were catered to very well if you were gambling

It was more for adults only, and now it has become just a tourist trap and expensive

it's fun, but it's gotten expensive. Can't find a craps table for less than $15

I went every year for 36 years to the Shot show or another show. When I first started going it was exciting and I gambled and went to shows. After the first 10 years I was tired of Vegas, after 20 years I hated the place. The last 15 years we stayed away from the strip and rarely went near a casino. I haven’t been back and will not go back.

When I have to go for a conference, I’ll stay as far west/Red Rock area as possible.
This area is nice and clean with much less riff raff, tourists, hustlers, and street people.

I go to Vegas for one thing...people watching.

Used to go to Vegas quite often when I lived only 4 hours away. Often times I would go with $1500 and come back with more or even. That to me was a win.

Gambling isn't as fun as sitting at the pool lounge and watching scenery roll by. Or sitting at the bar and watching the regulars come in and you have some interesting conversations with them.

One year, this elder gentleman and his wife come in and sit next to us as we ordered some drinks. He was talking a little loud as his wife wasn't able to hear him over the slot noises. He asked her for her order then proceeded to tell her one drink, then we're going to play blackjack. Luck has it, we were doing the same. So I told him that's what we're doing. So the 5 of us went to a $5 table. This was around 1 PM.

We started playing and this couple knew the rules. We were all doing very well since we could all play the odds. I started the day with $150 on the table. We all played to around 2 AM that day. We all took a break here and there, but shared the same table for the entire time. We retired 4 dealers during this. When we all called it quits, not one of us was busted. We all walked off the table w/ easily $2500+ each. That was the most fun / most money made in any of my trips. They even comped the elder couple a show pass and room.

It was within my territory for many years, and it was also a popular meeting place for my company back in the day because it was somewhat cheap. Been way too many times, and like you, stopped gambling after my first few visits then just began to avoid the strip at all costs.

Been there once. Don't think I left anything that I need.
