Leaving for Picachos in two weeks. I've fished it multiple times but never in February. If anyone has been there recently or going in the next week or so I'd appreciate any feedback/insight. Thank you

The usual suspects for soft plastic, lizards, flukes, senko s and mag worms on jig head. Spinner baits. Check with Bill at Speeds office for updates on lures. Good luck. Headed to Baccarac end of April๐

Thank for the responses. I've actually been to Picachos and stayed with Ron Speed seven times...I just haven't been in late February. Ive heard from Bill that the lake is already down to about 70% which is low for this time of year. I was looking for some recent intel on water clarity and the current status of the pre-spawn/spawn.. When I go to MX lakes in January I focus on swimbaits, Bama rigs and deep diving crankbaits. We don't even take plastics except for large jigs. I'm posting because I'm curious if going 6 or 7 weeks later in the year is going to make a difference.
