HEB steak seasoning is legit....

Although I prefer. unsalted butter, fresh cracked black pepper, garlic dust. Sprinkle with flake salt as it rest.

Salt makes meat tuff if you cook with it

For a steak, get it to room temp by leaving it out of the fridge for two hours (covered). Apply the salt and pepper and then reverse sear it to 128 in the middle. Let it rest 15min. It will not be tough doing it this way.

Get you some of the "Special Sh*t" seasoning. Yes, that is its actual name. You can buy a "box of sh*t" that has all the different spices in it. Chicken Sh*t, Dip sh*t, Its actually really, really good seasoning

Yes, Big C@ck Ranch makes some really good seasonings! We go thru a couple of containers of 'Chicken Sh*t' and 'Bull Sh*t' every year! thumb

TexJoy Butt and Rib tickler on everything pig from bacon to butt is excellent.

Also available at Brookshires.

Yeah the Texjoy rib tickler stuff is good on anything period. I’ve put it on steaks and chicken too. The thing about Anything TexJoy, doesn’t have to much salt or garlic. So many of the rubs and seasonings have to much garlic.

Thanks, Billy

Agree, very well balanced and not salty—pig typically already tastes salty and doesn’t need it.

Best steak I ever had in the US was at St. Elmo’s in Indianapolis. They sell their steak seasoning online along with their shrimp cocktail sauce. I order both and keep them handy.

If you are dealing with an excellent cut of meat and know what you are doing salt and pepper is fine. I'm not always gonna buy a prime ribeye. (And all prime isn't equal anyway). Sometimes I just want a choice strip or sirloin at that point some seasoning goes a long way. I like rare, that said plenty don't, some like A1 etc. I kinda got over trying to force something on the consumer a long time ago. The steak purists, elitest etc are tiresome. Same with the no bbq sauce guys..... eat what you think taste good. I have gotten really fond of garlic butter melted on top of steaks, I often add some garlic pesto as well. I think some order things a certain way or cook things a certain way because someone told they they are supposed to like it a certain way..... none of what I just said applies to putting beans in chili.... that makes you a filthy degenerate

I'm a TexJoy fan. Made in Beaumont. They also make the Salt Grass Steak Seasoning. Rooster Booster for wings after a light spray of olive oil and then bake.

If it's "Good" steak (any meat, actually) it needs no seasoning of any kind.

Fishing, a man knows a serenity of soul and peace of mind that he finds in doing nothing else, and it makes no difference whether or not he catches anything. The mind of a true fisherman is not on petty subjects.
