Welsh and Martin creek bass

Is there a reason why tpwd stopped stocking these lakes with Florida strain bass? Welsh shows 1976 and Martin 1990 as the last time they stocked these lakes with Florida strain bass .

I have not fished Martin but Welsh seems to have a bunch of bass. Maybe not need to restock it.

I like a mixture. Northern/native bass are less finicky and easier to catch. I also like to have a decent spot population for the same reason. Not everyone is going out looking for one or two big bites. Some people are happy just getting bites and catching fish.

I like a mixture. Northern/native bass are less finicky and easier to catch. I also like to have a decent spot population for the same reason. Not everyone is going out looking for one or two big bites. Some people are happy just getting bites and catching fish. Preach on brutha!
