If you fish long enough you will hook something weird, unique or unusual. It can be animal, plant, or mineral. roflmao Here are a couple to start. Let’s see yours. popcorn

Here is my wife’s 12” mantis shrimp she caught in Port Aransas. That is a big shrimp.

Seeing that mantis shrimp reminds me of the first time I ever saw one. This one was at South Padre Island. It had come up under the lights I was fishing from the condo pier. I always thought that they were only seen around coral in the deep tropics. Well done to your wife on that unusual catch.

Thanks, caught 4-5 this size, what a fight. Also a bunch of peacock bass and a few mayan cichlids. Florida is AWESOME!

caught a motor mount from a sbc off the dock at ray hubbard. didnt take pic.

I thought this was unusual at the time, did not realize how lion fish had taken over in South Florida. Caught this one off a deep wreck
in Key West.
