Daingerfield is making their annual deep run in the playoffs. They represent what I envision for college football once conference champions are guaranteed a spot in the playoff regardless of non-conference record. Daingerfield plays a bunch of bigger schools and tough competition in non-district to get them ready for district and the playoffs. They enter with 7-3 or 8-2 records but kick tail once they get there.
College football needs to get rid of the early season creampuff stuff. Newton will beat Daingerfield like a red-headed stepchild. Daingerfield will get skull [censored] by Newton. Maybe they will. My point is that a school that consistently plays a tough non-district schedule, often against bigger schools, enters the playoffs at 7-3 but advances to the 4th round. If we did it like college football and only teams that tried to pad their records by playing non-conference sacrificial lambs to get to 9-1 or 10-0 were selected, they would never get in the playoff. Every district champ gets in even if they go 0-4 in non-district. That's what we need in college football, all conference champs in the playoff. Georgia wouldn't risk not getting in if they played USC, Iowa, Notre Dame, and Clemson instead of Wofford, Bethune-Cookman, UT-Chattanooga, and Georgia Tech. Making that change might actually make early season games watchable.

I’m on the North Crowley band wagon. They are gonna be interesting to watch for sure They won’t get by Desoto even though they’re the closest to matching them with athletes that Desoto will face. AND Desoto turned in 5A DI numbers but I’m hearing they’ll opt up. I told you WAWI. Abilene will be a tougher opponent than RO. We barely beat them in the 3rd round last year and they have everyone back. Early prediction Aledo by 14. The starters will have to play the whole game. You weren't right here either lol
