Mine is and it stays nice and warm in the winter. This, ours is insulated too. Garage walls and door.

If you have the opportunity, then do it. During the winter you will be thankful, and you never know what you might use your garage for in the future.

adds to value a little, makes the space a lot more usable and I well worth the money imo. like chris we did all ours but when you are at 8,000' elevation it is pretty much a necessity.

How much time do you spend in the garage? Does the garage door face north or south? If you spend a lot of time in the garage working on projects, I'd consider DIY installing a small minisplit with precharged lines. It's luxurious, but all you need with these small precharged line minisplits is a run of 12/2 MC cable and a 15 amp or 20 amp circuit breaker at the main panel. Everything else is included in the kit......you will need a circular hole saw, a chisel (if going through brick), and a small container of brick/masonry patch if going through brick. Normally Iād pass on a DIY system like that- but for that price Iād give it go, not much to lose. These mini splits are absolutely awesome!

As for the OP - it's nice to have, but not necessary. Depends on how much time you spend out there. If it's a good bit, it's definitely worth the money. But primary leak point is the garage door - if you don't insulate that then doing the walls is a waste IMHO
