Unquestionably following doctrine/orders at all times and placing political leaders or any human being on a pedestal can be dangerous.

Please remember, I was just asking who your favorite president was / is. If nobody said Joe or Obama or Ford, it’s because those men weren’t their favorite president.

💯% in agreement. You can be a Democrat and not a tree hugging liberal and you can be a Republican but not be a cult follower. Perception on social media is if you’re a Democrat you’re far left and if you’re a Republican you’re far right. I’d like to compare politics to the IRS. Come tax time I’d prefer to break even, not pay in and not get a refund where the govt uses your money to draw free interest for the govt. That would be ideal. Then in politics I’d like to see people right in the middle, think for themselves to make political decisions.

If one seeks out and listens to extremes, one may hear of some bizarre ideas.

I’m gonna hijack my own thread but I can’t help it!

The media wants people as far apart as possible. Total division.

I think most people are closer to the center, whether they’re conservative or liberal. The media wants errbody as far apart and divided as possible. Then they can throw gas on the fire and sell a bunch of BS.

100%. Media and politicians have similar methods; polarize, divide and conquer.

The "middle" today is Right of political center. Therein lies the problem of wanting to be a middle of the road, Kum Ba Yah pleaser of all humanity. JFK once considered a Conservative democrat, would fall far right of today's "middle". Hold-over dems from the 60's have been left behind by their leftist drifting, gender bending, mutant worshipping, tax and spend party. It's over.

The democrat platform of today is a leftist, anti-Christian socialist, Marxist ideology.

Well by gawd RF and CCTX us 3 are in agreement on this conundrum. I really don’t want to pursue office at this time because of prior commitments, RF I’m sure you’re in the same boat but CCTX more than likely had a higher SAT score than us so he’s the man. CCTX in 24 but by judging what’s in office now the SAT score may not hold that much importance.

From reading this excellent thread, it affirms my faith that the vast majority of people are pragmatic and have a healthy amount of distrust of all political propaganda.

I think Bob Lee Swagger summed it up best when they met at his cabin to propose he do a job for them.
