Kind of what I was thinking. I was told long ago that line would be the cheapest thing I would ever buy in fishing - change it often and retie a lot.

Obviously whoever told you that has not made the switch to sunline.....

That is why I went to braid with a leader, I can get two years out of braid ( barring a bad backlash ) , a roll of inviz will last a looooong time using 6 - 8 feet at a time.

I have never had a problem with Invizx... It works well for me.

You was lied to. At $44.99 a spool, times 24 reels, my line costs almost as much as the Active Target.

I use cheap mono backing and then spool on 40-50 yards or so of flouro… allows me to change out line often. If you tie a single knot in your flouro, then pull each side… if knot breaks you need to pull off some line until you find good line…

Ditto.

My first experiments with "premium" flouro was with Invizx and AbrasX. Wasn't a fan a stuck with Berkley 100%. Was gifted a box of Sunline Sniper and never looked back.

Reading through this thread it reminds me of why I went to braid to fluoro leader in the beginning. So much less headaches

This sounds like the way. I will give it a try. What lb test braid are you using as main line?

Personal Record: 8 pounds 10 ounces
Personal Goal: 10 pounds +

Most Texas waters:
Baitcaster 40 or 50lb braid mainline
Spinning reel 20-30lb braid mainline

Has anyone done any studies on the life expectancy of flouro? I'm skeptical of what manufacturers say - they need to sell product.

Me too' Sunline seems quite a bit tougher and less nicks.

Also really curious if the belief that storing in the fridge is truth or myth.

Does anybody else have questions they want me to pose about fluorocarbon, or braid?

Ask why they don't debunk the myth of no stretch fluorocarbon.

Odd reading the comments, I broke the heck out of sunline, but have no break offs with Tatsu.
