#Dobyns=Duckett=missingeyes=garbage Why are you trying to pick a "brand fight" ? I buy what I want and can afford and do not care what anyone else buys with their money.

I just wondered what people thought of the zbone is all. Had a GOOD one that (I) broke. Called Kistler And paid full price for a new replacement----Like two times before the replacment rod was supposed to be the latest greatest. Got it and it wasn't near as good as the one I broke---That's the last one I will buy. JMO.

I have broken two, both from being stepped on. They replaced one for shipping and the other was $120 including shipping. As far as sensitivity, back bone, etc., they are as good as any I've ever used. I own 10 rods with steez reels, balance and feel are great. Can't imagine anything that much better, but just like everything else, I'm sure there is.

#Dobyns=Duckett=missingeyes=garbage Why are you trying to pick a "brand fight" ? I buy what I want and can afford and do not care what anyone else buys with their money. I guess I’m still bitter about the component issues I had with those rods in the past. Plus it’s fun to get the Dobyns crowd all stirred up, there are many on here.

Is the NRX+ more sensitive than the older NRX? I have a couple of the NRX rods and the other rods I have that seem to be the only ones close to it in sensitivity are the Shimano Adrena, Daiwa Steez, and the Megabass Destroyer. I have the 854c and 873crr in both the nrx and + model. Sensitivity wise maybe a little bit but their lighter and I like the new reel seat. Not enough difference to make me sell all my old ones for new + models.

Honestly probably for one of the most sensitive rods you could build a high end Rainshadow or North Fork Composite blank, a carbon fiber reel seat and Fuji torzite guides.
The parts would be around $300-$400. If you had it built throw in another $200-$300.
But it would be one of the more sensitive rods you can have built.

I have to say I like Dobyns rod but they don’t seem to be very sensitive. I fished with a Xtasy for a few hours and caught about 10 fish. I wasn’t really impressed. The 3 things that I loved about the Rod was how it bent and pinned the fish, balance, and it was a great looking rod.

I have fished ZBones for years, love them. I also have all the other brands as well. I just like buying new rods and trying them out for a while, and then selling them and buying more. HWH and I have met a few times over ZBones.
My oldest rod, that I wont let go of for anything, is a ZBone that I use for my C-rig - 7'10" MOD. I have tried others and sold others because that ZBones just works for me. Its not lightest at all, but sensitivity is second to none, backbone to horse a fish, and the tip to keep them pinned.
I have a few others in that 7'3" MH that I use for jigs and T-Rigs, no complaints when comparing them to my NRX+, but again, they are not as light as the NRX.
These are all open water rods to me, I stick to upper mid range rods for skipping docks, cedars, etc. And I would never buy a ZBone, NRX, Steez, etc for anything moving.
