Goode isn't open for the hog hunt this year. I am going to use a 12 gauge Remington slug gun, rifled with Hornady lead free monoflex bullets. The grandson is going to use a CVA Optima 50 caliber muzzleloader and 250 grain Hornady Monoflex bullets. I found serious sign everywhere I went. Actually saw pigs on the Meyers unit. I had my Catahoula on a lead and she pulled me around constantly on hot hog tracks. That wore me out!

Pretty poorly. Seems the week before the draw hunt they sent in helicopters to cull the hogs, they killed hundreds as a matter of fact. The only reason they had the drawing was to pay for the helicopters fuel and ammo and the drawn hunters were there only to assess how effective the aerial gunnery was. Didn't fish, hunted hard saw 7 hogs but they were in the dead blackberry and thorn tree patches, very thick stuff. Saw em not long enough to get a shot.

Well that stinks, but I'll tell you what, you can go to any of the public land and run into pigs every time. You'll def get some
