I’ve had three 50ah ionics for about a year now with no issues. Like Tillman says, I charge about every 3rd trip out. Also run the 125ah for starter and electronics. Love’em so far. Took about 150lbs out of the boat.

You can go one single 36v 50 amp hour battery and you can run all day but if by chance that one battery quits working for some reason then your literally “dead in the water”.
The best setup you can run, budget permitting, is to buy two and run in parallel. This way you can unhook from one and survive on the other
This is the route that I took. I went with 2 each 36v 40AH batteries and put them on a selector switch so that I can run off either one individually, or both. I usually alternate between the two, using only one exclusively on any given day, then the other one on the next trip. That way they are getting somewhat equal cycles. I have never used over 70% of a 40AH battery in a day, so the way I look at it, I always have a full reserve battery available if I ever need it.

Battle Born - 10 years full replacement warranty. I have them in my Ranger for the last three year and no issue. My Minkota charger will charge lithium batteries also. I done a lot of research and decided to go with an America made and great warranty. We fish a lot of windy conditions, so I when for 100AH batteries (3-12 volts)

Hey guys, upgrading my electronics with 2 Garmin's with livescope upfront. Was wondering what batteries you would suggest to get the best time usage from without breaking the bank. I also have a brand new Continental for starting but want to run lithium for the trolling motor and electronics. Thanks for any suggestions.

All depends on your budget and wants. If you want Bluetooth and temp protection, they’ll cost more. How much do you want to spend and keep in mind, you might need a new charger.

I only fish weekends and on occasion after work for a couple hours. Just tired of the basic batteries wearing out after two years and heard the newer electronics with the livescope will drain batteries quick.

Decent budget, I’ll list a few and you can look them over. All have had enough positive reviews, that I’ll say them. None of these are starting approved. Batteries with Bluetooth app, high & low temp protection. I bought this brand, stupid name, but decent price. PowerUrus 100ah $400, no sales tax or custom fees. SOK, a little bit more, but get really good reviews. A bit over $500, from what I remember. Batteries that have only high temp protection and NO app: Chins, LiTime, Weize, Power Queen. Most of these are in the $300-$350 range. I ended up with a 4 bank MK precision lithium profile charger, but you can find a single chargers on most of the websites above. I’d personally recommend to get a MK Precision or NOCO Gen Pro. If you want 50ah batteries, they are all cheaper. Even the better ones, like ionic are $350ea. Weize and LiTime/Chins are something like $200ish For an occasional fisherman, 50’s would be plenty. I went with 100’s, so I could go multiple days without charging.

Thanks for all the good info. My Triton is older but I figured I would upgrade the electronics and trolling motor and try and get a few more years out of her.
