Aren’t Coanglers competing separately?
Seems like field is still even then……

It won't be long until some co-angler packs a portable FFS unit and a deployable transducer and drops it off the edge of the boat in the back. Lithium batteries could make the whole set-up fit in a medium-sized tacklebox. Hide and watch if you think I'm crazy. It wont be long. If i was putting up the funds to fish the opens as a co i would have a small set up to use. The only part that would be tricky would be mounting it but you could possibly make something that would slide over the edge of a jackplate Sounds great in theory but boat control is an extremely important part of FFS. The guy running the TM is doing so 100% independently of the coangler so it's gonna be a tough situation for a coangler to use it effectively.

I have seen some nested PVC mounting solutions that allow aiming the FFS. I can see a co attaching that setup to the cleat for quick removal and being able to point it where they are fishing.

But the boat is still moving completely independently of what the coangler is looking at.

I really don’t understand why somebody would even want to be a nonboater
That could have just as easily have said, “I guess I’m ignorant” There are a lot of reasons people are co anglers, young anglers without boats, older guys that just like to go fishing but don’t wanna prefish or not interested in becoming a pro. a lot of reasons, and some really good fisherman do it. So you can either be ignorant or you can think a little bit harder than your shallow mind wants to think. Dayyyummmmm. O K.

Can you imagine the look on a boater face when some co shows up with a suitcase of tackle, 47 rods, another suitcase of garmin, then starts clamping a mess all over boat lol. Then doesn't throw any gas money on pot Edit.. I left off the yeti with all their sandwiches Oops, sorry your [censored] blew out of the boat.

I go one step further. I flip my side scan left to right…so the co angler sees [censored] on the wrong side of the boat from where it really is.

It would make it suck that’s for sure . Especially if they are fishing isolated suspending fish
Co anglers are the only way of policing lower level tournaments.

Co anglers are the only way of policing lower level tournaments. I have had a coangler 3x I believe in the last few dozen ABA Opens & AFT tourneys I’ve been in. I honestly believe that there’s not much cheating going on

I'd also like to apologize for 1/16oz ear holed split shot. I swear, rj went from 5'9" to 6'7" in the middle of my cast.
