We were poor and all of our Christmas gifts came from the SH catalog. Same here, I got a coffee pot and a toaster one year

Remember them well. When a young teenager I worked in a retail store that was located next to a S&H redemption store. My mom used her S&H stamps to redem for my Dad's birthday gift; a Winchester 12ga. shotgun. Dad's long gone but I still have his shotgun.

I remember on bad weather days my Mom used to have me lick and paste those suckers for hours!

We also collected Gold Bond stamps to redeem for prizes. Early 80’s at Vance AFB. Green stamp bowling on Saturday night. If 3 colored pins came up(1-2-3) and you got a strike you’d win 20,000. Only saw one winner. Good times I was at Vance from 1973 to 1977, great place to be in the Air Force. Left there with an MBA from OCU.

Also used as a form of currency. I remember going to garage sales with Mom and some would take payment in green stamps.

S&H green stamps and Gold bond stamps. Double stamps on Wednesdays, Henny Penny and Piggly Wiggly were my home town grocery stores. Zebco 33 and rod for mom and dad. I had a Zebo 202 that were bought with them. There was an acual stamp store where you went and bought the Stuff. Some stuff had to be ordered though. 
The only thing worse than a porta potty in the wintertime is a porta potty in the summertime.

Mom had stacks of books I don't know what she redeemed them for I just remember books of green stamps rubber-banded together. Same with my GM
