A good buck is hard to beat. yes but most people can’t sharpen a buck, so they complain about them not staying sharp. They are a great knife if you can sharpen them. I carried Bucks for years. I like the benchmark given to me a few years ago

We are big ken onion knife fans especially the leek. But the chive and the scallion have their place too. I have been carrying the black leek on the left over 20 years. Pot licker's are on the right. She's been carrying the iridescent one about 10 years. There are 2 ways to mount the pocket clip on the leek. It comes from the factory with the clip pointed towards the handle. If you keep it that way when you draw it from your pocket the blade is pointing up and you have to flip the knife in your hand then open. If you flip the clip you can draw and open the knife in one smooth motion without having to flip the knife making it super fast to open and allows for one hand closing. The chive and scallion do not offer this.

I didn't realize we had so many old timers in here. I don't know anyone under 60 that carries a pocket knife. I'd be curious to know what the percentage is, I 'm guessing over 80% I'm in the "over" range.
Grandpa said: "Carry a pocket knife son, you never know when you'll need it."
Truer words were never spoken. R.I.P. Grandpa . . . . WGP I'm in the under 60 demo (not by much but still there) and I don't know many men and some women who don't carry at least one knife. I have 3 boys and a daughter who all carry a knife daily too. My grandfather said a similar thing - "You're not fully dressed unless you have a belt on a knife in your pocket".
Grateful for every sunrise and sunset I get to witness. - Jason

Case Trapper for many years.
Biden famously said in the New York Observer, “I mean, you got the first mainstream African-American who is articulate and bright and clean and a nice-looking guy. I mean, that’s a storybook, man.”

I carry this one the most and use it regularly, excellent knife and the warranty is awesome. broke a blade on my last kershaw (cheaper model) and asked about buying a blade since it was my fault, they sent a whole new knife when I sent in the old one and even paid for shipping. I have about 15 or more pocket knives but like this one most.

I hate blade serrations. While cleaning a deer. I somehow thought it'd be a good idea to saw the pelvic bone using a serrated blade in 440C.
I basically wiped the serrations off the blade.
Never found any good use for it besides cutting rope.

Never found any good use for it besides cutting rope. My leek is my every day carry and is my first "tool" I reach for. It is half serrated and is great for cutting rope, straps, and hoses. For skinning anything I use this eyebrand schlieper Professional. I received this knife as a gift 25 years ago from ret. Oklahoma congressman Bill Brewster.

I'm 57....raised a boy and a girl to carry knives....both in their 20's and always carry a pocket knife...usually when one buys another knife they buy 2 and give the other one to their sibling.....they will raise their children that way. My 4 year old grandson already knows papa's knife is his someday
