Check out the blood stains. Even the vinegar bath didn't clean it off. Found in the closed position and if the lake level was normal. It appeared to have been tossed with some gusto.

Still sharp even after being under water for months (years?)...

murder weapon eeks

No idea. For all anyone knows. Someone cleaned a deer with a new knife. Left it bloody and decided to throw it in the lake. Or it lost off a boat after cleaning a fish. Taking the time to close the knife.

You should've saw it when I found it. Moss encrusted with a funky funk all over the knife. Which was biological in origin. I thought it was rust at first but it wasn't rust.

The scales are stabilized wood. Had a white tail deer motif on the side. If it was only an American made knife and not a Chinese.

I've carried a buck for years. Couldn't tell you the model number but it has about a 3.5" blade and it works for all my needs.

I carried a Case trapper for many years until I went to buy one to replace a lost one. Saw on the box that it was made in China. Kept looking around the display case and found a slightly larger 2 blade trapper style, brand is “Moore Maker”, from Matador, Texas.

Been carrying this knife daily for 2 years and have been really impressed with it. More expensive than a Case, but it’s made in the USA.

IMO the best pocket knife is a sharp one. You can carry any brand and no matter how much coin you dropped if its dull it's worthless and dangerous. (Sharp = shaves the hair on your arm)

Kershaw AM-4. Al Mar design. Assisted opening. Only about $30 on Amazon. So if I lose it (and I've lost a couple), it's not the end of the world.

Trust, all of mind are run over a strope. I can't do that sort of sharp thing. It's gotta be all it's gonna be. Proper sharp. With attention paid to the edge.

I don't carry a construction knife.

I didn't realize we had so many old timers in here.
I don't know anyone under 60 that carries a pocket knife. I'd be curious to know what the percentage is, I 'm guessing over 80%

I'm in the "over" range.
