Stay in Nacogdoches
Fish Pinkston, Nacogdoches, and Naconiche. I didn't like Naconiche at all when I did this trip, but the other two were BANGER.

I second east Texas. Fish lake Nacogdoches and Pinkston. Phenomenal bed fishing on Pinkston.

Im itchin to get back to Amistad. That lake is special. Not anymore. Hasn't been since the big draw down.

Wasn't expecting amount of negative responses to Amistad. Last time I was there (Sep) I caught loads of fish. To each their own I guess. Even at low levels it holds more water than a lot of lakes in the State.
